Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Style is a specific way of expressing the subject, that is, how the speaker expresses his/her content, and to determine this particular way of describing, one must pay attention to the speaker"s choice of words, sentence and idiom forms, literary devices, prosody and rhyme, etc.; therefore, the manner and frequency of a poet"s use of linguistic and literary possibilities creates his/her style; but since style is a set of verbal and spiritual characteristics that govern speech, the poet"s mental environment and worldview can also be examined in stylistics; therefore, it can be said that style is the result of the artist"s specific view of the inner and outer world, which necessarily manifests itself in a particular way of expressing.
METHODOLOGY: The present article employs a descriptive-analytical method, drawing on the poems of Hamed Ebrahimpour (1979), to examine the poetic style of this contemporary poet. The main goal of this research is to identify and classify a number of unique stylistic features of Ebrahimpour at three levels: intellectual, linguistic, and literary, along with providing examples of his poems.
FINDINGS: By examining Ebrahimpour"s poems on three levels: intellectual, linguistic, and literary, the authors found that Ebrahimpour"s poetry, in terms of intellectual space, seeks to express general human concerns in addition to explaining his own thoughts; the use of modern and conventional contemporary words is also an indication of the synchronicity of the poet"s language; also, examining the literary level of Ebrahimpour"s poetry and his innovations makes his poetry seem distinct from other contemporaries in terms of poetic formats and specific literary arrangements.
CONCLUSION: By examining the dominant ideas and themes in Ebrahimpour"s poems and his type of reaction to the issues of existence and individual and social ups and downs, it was found that under the influence of the poet"s inner commitment to time, topics such as death, loneliness, longing and despair have formed the poet"s intellectual space and worldview, and of course love also has a high position in his poems. On the linguistic level, his special type of use of simple and innovative words and expressions is noteworthy, and on the literary level, the use of the continuous three-verse format, special and new allusions and references, repetitions of the same beginning type, and the use of the tangible plural simile technique for description are among the most important and prominent aesthetic techniques in Ebrahimpour"s poetry, which have led to the musical and semantic excellence of his poetry. Examining the stylistic characteristics of Hamed Ebrahimpour"s poetry, along with citing poetic examples, not only helps the audience become familiar with Ebrahimpour"s innovations but also helps identify his place in contemporary poetry.
